Small retreat (30m²)

Since march 2004 the house is open as a holiday and retreat center, in 2005 we finished the 60m2 retreat room which is situated 200 m apart from the house. In winter 2007/2008 a covered parking and the bbq area will be finished.

The house is open all year due to the mild climate (Almeria gets 324 sunnydays a year) and the underfloor heating. In winter temperatures easily reach 25°C during the daytime but because of the desert climate it does go down to below 0°C at night.

STONE CARVING AT PENTECOST IN ANDALUSIA

Arrival day: Saturday, May 10th
Course beginning: Sunday, May 11th
Course end: Tuesday, May 20th
Departure: Wednesday, May 21st

This 10-day course is for everyone who would like to try out direct carving in stone with technical instruction and individual help and advice from an experienced sculptor. Work will take place for 4 hours every morning with tools provided for sculpting in marble or travertine.
Bring safety goggles, headwear,a few 3m dust-filter masks, work gloves and safety shoes.
On 2 afternoons there will be excursions under the heading “stone, landscapes and art”. The remaining afternoons are at your own disposal also to continue alone with work on your sculpture if wished.

This intensive course including full-board costs 895€.
A single room supplement is available for 10€ per night.
